Job Opportunities at Sweetwater Child Development Center:  


SPECIAL EDUCATION OR PRESCHOOL TEACHER 

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and in cooperation with the Center Principal, the Special Education Teacher is responsible for planning, directing, managing, and overseeing the activities and operation of their assigned Special Education caseload and completing all necessary paperwork, testing and data entry, parent communication, and related needs to meet deadlines and to provide services.  The caseloads will include students who are served in Outreach settings, home settings, and/or the SCCDC centers.

Teachers holding a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field may apply if willing to be trained as a Special Education Teacher and willing to be working on the ECSE endorsement (paid for by the SCCDC).

The Special Education Teacher will possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in education or a related field and hold a Special Education endorsement from the Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB).  The successful candidate must also be willing to work toward the Early Childhood Special Education endorsement from the University of Wyoming (paid for by the SCCDC).    

Executive Director

Under the direct supervision of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director administers all functions of the SCCDC organization. He/she provides a comprehensive, coordinated early childhood and special education/early intervention program in compliance with the goals and objectives of the Sweetwater County Child Developmental Center (SCCDC) as well as state and federal rules and regulations pertaining to the services provided. 

Responsibilities Include: Financial Management, Operational Management, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Selection, and On-Boarding, Work Place Safety, Staff Management and Retention, Board of Directors Liaison, Teamwork and Communication. 

 The Executive Director will possess a college degree, preferably a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Administration, Education Leadership, Business Administration or a related educational field, and have a combination of education and experience equivalent to two (2) years in the areas of early childhood management or early childhood education, child development, nursing or other related field.
